Money Carpet

Hong Kong is a highly capitalistic society. In Money Carpet, I enlarged and transformed the texture of a $100 Hong Kong Dollar banknote into a handmade latch hook rug. Viewers were invited to step on the rug, exploring themes of craft and labour, the comfort that money promises and subtle rebellion in the act of stepping on it.
